Knowing types of bird nests helps land owners learn about the wildlife on their properties. From bottom right:
3 cardinal nests have bits of plastic woven in with cedar bark.
A canyon wren used a small bin of nails to make her oak leaf nest. She laid 5 5/8" eggs.
A titmouse lined her nest with feathers.
A swallow nest begins with bits of mud and ends with fine straw and dried grass.

Charlie isn't too sure about the friendliness of Smokey Bear, who just wants to say to everyone, "Only you can prevent wildfires!"
